Description:

Property at Lake Como has assisted in real estate mediation for the sale of the luxury Villa Molinari in Laglio with discretion and professionalism.

Villa Antonietta, also known as Villa Molinari, is one of the oldest historical residences in Laglio (a town on Lake Como that is also well-known as American actor George Clooney's holiday residence): a jewel, that stands next to Villa Oleandra right on Lake Como. The villa was built at the end of the 19th century and is over 1500 square metres. It is split into 5 floors and includes a large park overlooking the lake.

This luxurious and imposing piece of real estate is the colour yellow and it is located in the hollow of the Regina state road beyond the tipTorrigia in the direction of Brienno. It also features a large park directly on the lake where the docks are located. The villa's position opens up onto a broad horizon whose view embraces the area of Argegno on one side and Nesso on the other all the way to Isola Comacina, the lake's only island, and the tip of Balbaniello. The outline of the Bellagio cape on the opposite shore is also visible.

Until the 1930's, Villa Molinari was home to the luxurious Albergo Savoia which hosted a wealthy international clientele in the environment of the most comfortable of accommodation facilities. The Second World War brought about many changes but the villa's architectural lines with Art Nouveau style ornaments and friezes can still be admired as well as the villa's grandeur, which makes it the only one of its kind on Lake Como.

The Molinari family - the owners of the Naval Shipyards of the same name - were the proprietors of the villa and Renato Molinari, 20-time world champion of the powerboating world, had also lived here for several years.
