Description:

Villa Cademartori known since 1770, was passed on through the years until it reached the German family of bankers, who emigrated from Frankfurt to Milan, the Mylius family. Georg Melchior and his wife Sophie Vonwiller made numerous improvements to the complex, hiring the famous architect Jospeh Balzaretto, and inhabited the villa until Georg’s death.
When her husband died Sofia became the sole heir, distinguishing herself for the charity work she performed on behalf of the church and the Blevio community as well as literary salon based on those that were fashionable in nearby Milan.
Upon Sofia’s death, the villa was inherited by the general Conrad Cramer and his second wife (the first, Sofia’s beloved daughter, died a few years earlier).
After the occupation during World War II, the villa was purchased by the commendator Remo Cademartori, the cheese industry tycoon.
Subsequently sold to a real estate company, the historic villa was transformed into a luxury condominium, inhabited today by personalities such as the singer Milva and, up to a short time ago, the AC Milan footballer
Andry Shevcenko, who occupied the apartment where another name in Milan’s football scene once lived, Karl Heinz Rummenigge, during his career with Inter.
A residential village was built in the park, known as La Cala, preceded by a large garage that can be seen from the opposite shores of the lake.
The restoration and current division of the property dates back to 1980 and was designed by the architect Margheritis.
This luxurious villa rises up on a valley called ‘Girola’, meaning gravel, indicating an area formed by ancient landslides.
Built in a Neoclassical style the three-story villa has a turret to the right. The noble floor is punctuated by a series of gabled windows and it's underscored by a terrace with statues held up by a Doric portico.
The park that surrounds the residence is rich with secular trees including an enormous plane tree and a fine Lebanon cedar.

The villa is located in the town of Blevio, less than ten minutes from the centre of Como by car, and offers a stunning view of Cernobbio, the Monte Rosa mountain range, of Villa d’Este and many other historic villas.
