Description:

Villa Belinzaghi was built in 1864 and designed for the banker Giulio Belinzaghi, the mayor of Cernobbio and Milan.
The villa was designed by the engineer Giacomo Bussi who constructed a luminous and momentous building that still obeys Neoclassical architectural standards, rather late in relation to the time in which it was built.
Close to the centre of the town of Cernobbio, the entrance of the building overlooks the square which borders the town in the direction of Villa d'Este.
Villa Belinzaghi, with its modern English style, has simple and symmetrical lines, and is surrounded by a vast park.

Its style, defined by contemporaries as “modern English”, is characterised by linearity and symmetry, and conceals an interior design that is highly attentive to comfort.
Villa Belinzaghi, like the neighbouring Villa Allamel, has an attic over the main floor and a dock protected by walls.

In the twentieth century the villa belonged to the Astesani Monzino family and for many years now it has been owned by the Como silk industrialist Giorgio Fasana. While not open to visitors, the villa can be admired from a boat on the lake.
Villa Belinzaghi is located in Cernobbio, a picturesque little town just a few kilometres north of the city of Como, on the modern road that follows “la Via Regina” ancient Roman road, along the western shores of the lake. In the past, numerous footballers such as Seedorf have rented this luxurious villa on Lake Como.
