Lake Como Musical Month - Festival di Bellagio 2013 & Night at the Park

Enough has been written about the soothing beauty and gorgeous villas of Lake Como surroundings but the beautiful area is visited for various other reasons as well. Along with summer vacationers, upcoming weeks will witness a great rush of music lovers as the different towns of Como province will bear witness two major musical events.

Here are the events that deserve your attention if you are soon planning a visit to the gorgeous Como;

Festival di Bellagio 2013

The much awaited festival is surely the attraction of the approaching days. The official name of the festival is ‘Verdi, Wagner e la Musica d’Oggi’ and it will keep music fans busy till September. While this year’s version kicked off in June, the next event is going to be on July 26 at Loveno di Menaggio, Villa Vigoni.

Igor Stravinskij, Giuseppe Verdi and Richard Wagner will be the stars of the night.

August 1, 2013 will also see a musical event where Johann Sebastian Bach, Charles Auguste de Bériot, Léon de Saint-Lubin and Eugène Ysaye will weave magic with their skills.

In case you have plans to visit Como on September, then, you can catch the event based on silent cinema with live music on September 4.

Musical Night at the Park

If you are visiting Tremezzo soon, then, there are two musical shows that will certainly catch your fancy. On 24 July, Gnola Blues Band will perform at Park Teresio Sallowthorns. The brand will be playing classical blues. On the last day of the month, Eighth Richter will trance the audience with performance that will carry shades of Funky, Latin, African and swing.
