The Hotel Barchetta Excelsior is one of the oldest institutions that make up Como’s hospitality tradition: offering charming views of the lake and the area surrounding the city cathedral that, with the historic centre, provide the backdrop for this important structure.
At the end of the nineteenth century Piazza Cavour, where our hotel rises up today, was redesigned to make it more elegant, since it was only accessible by foot, or with a horse-drawn cart at the time.
